Nicolas Hanson September 15, 2017 Share September 15, 2017 A great update, with compositing features and finishing solutions. Anything said about the price point?
Tom Evans September 15, 2017 Share September 15, 2017 I like the fact that the color correctors implement composing tools and other online features. My impression is that they are leaning more towards Mistika. Curious to see if BMD will implement Fusion or if they they develop the code further to implement parts of it in the exisiting tool. Emily Haine September 17, 2017 Share September 17, 2017 Layer based comp? Thought it was only the keyframe setup that was layed based?
Jussi Rovanperä September 17, 2017 Share September 17, 2017 Now you need to stack video tracks with alphas, instead of bringing the clips to the node tree and comping there.
Jussi Rovanperä September 17, 2017 Share September 17, 2017 (edited) Sorry for stating misinformation, actually you can bring a background plate as matte clip and layer with the original in the node editor, so there's no necessarily need for 2 video tracks. Aaron Rosapepe January 5, 2018 Share January 5, 2018 I wasn't able to figure out pricing structure for Baselight from their website. Is Baselight 5.0 available as a standalone ap like DR or is it tied to a hardware system? I do see they have an Avid version so that could be an option if not.
