  1. Thank you for your great work Mark and Lowepost!
  2. Does Mistika boutique have solution for doing Remote grading? Like Master Slave configuration (Mistika to Mistka)?
  3. I use more and more remote for some job, sometime Europe to Asia with different company and different setup. But one of very annoying situation, when I do long tracking with shape on 1 minute shot, the resolve master and resolve slave (fiber connect and fast internet, normal ping) computers are totally unresponsive for almost 30 second. And when I change the grade to this tracked shape node, it going again with unresponsiveness, and I need to wait 30 second again to have color change on both workstation. For information, the same situation on different hardware on every labs I worked before, like europe, china.... Also I my situation I can't use streaming solution for some projects... The only way to workaround it's to done manually animate shape or use point tracker to make acceptable faster respond.
  4. In baselight now Neatvideo work, but on Baselight TWO systems (Neatvideo will use the terminal computer CPU like i5 or i7 I don't know exactly rather than the CPU of workstation process NODE) it's slower than Baselight ONE systems (in this case it will use the CPU of the workstation). It will work well on Imac Pro with a Baselight assit, I done this way for de-noising some shot and blend it on timeline of main workstation at color-grading session, but I will prefer to do it directly in front of Projector.
  5. Inside Six Vectors operator you have the tab BLACK/WHITE Desat and you can play with the value of Black Pivot Balck Amount etc it's work very nice on black and highlight. Or you can add operator CURVE GRADE you can customize to a luma vs sat like resolve. see the pictures attachs
  6. With filmconvert you can create a 3D lut export.
  7. Thk, that I know already to edit tracking in the spline editor. But maybe I`m not clear, my question it's how to do it the smoothly the value on fusion? what kind of "expression" I need to map a value of transform, rotate, scaling , shaking to more simple spline to edit them.
  8. I like the different choices of stabilizers type in resolve, but one stuff really miss it’s the ability to keyframe value of smoothing. In baselight for instance you can keyframes value in time of smooth motion, value of shaking, lock etc, that make a very efficient stabilizer on tricky shot. I try to clear: I can decide on footage after 10 second of full smooth movement i can slightly back to original shaking camera by simply put a keyframe to do it gradually ramp by 1 to 0.3 for example . In fusion they have a way to do stabilizing with keyframe value of motion and shake etc in time?
  9. If you have Baselight 5.1 you can check inside LOOK you have some very good choice of LUT.
  10. I was the CP200 typical setup BK + TS + K, and for sure its compatible with element too. I think it's was centos not totally sure.
  11. I already worked on Linux version it's was nice realtime, even you can do proxy caching, and stable caching. About shape it's very similar to lustre, it mean very intuitive bezier and IN / OUT precise like Baselight better than resolve. Also you have 2 in 1 about node and layer, you can switch view between them, and work like layer base or work like node way. You can switch between LUT by up and down arrows very nice. About debayer setup, it's look similar to other tools, sdk standard.
  12. I test the Eizo Prominence monitor on baselight with HDR and it was very good quality , but the price are so close to sony BVM-X300 that hard to jump on it. The render feeling was more smooth than OLED sony BVM-X300.
  13. I use Lightspace XPT and Calman studio on MacbookPro 2017 with i7 with 16giga, I use Vmware Fusion with a windows 7 pro, USB C to USB port work perfectly with differents Spectro like Jeti 1211, I1 one Pro 2, Klein K80 or even C6 hdr colorimeter with simple USB-C to USB Adapter. On the same computer I use OSX Resolve or OSX CalibMate driven by Lightspace or Calman, it very great because I can use BM device like ultrastudio thunderbolt device. Most of time I avoid Wifi for controling external Resolve because sometime he can introduce unsync reading between Lightspace and resolve. On Vmware side I put 4 giga ram with 1 processor on windows 7 sp1 pro 64 bits. Becarefull avoid ATOM INTEL computer it's far far to slow to be able to use it, I think minimum i5 it's nice.
  14. I confirm the baselight 5 denoiser are far more better than the predecessor temporal degrain. You simply select a region and apply the denoise with some tweaking value like neatvideo and the result are good!
  15. Some cons to take care with resolve remote. You need to be sure you have exactly the same version of Resolve and OpenFX. same version of project because it's easy messing. they don't share same gallery, and you hit grab still they are create on both systems not shared windows and macos are ok to work together work good with ADSL connexion no fast internet. be sure to have good calibrated system on both monitor or projector also try to have same speed on both computer because resolve don't sync when you hit PLAY. And you remote machine will be ahead or delay not easy whenyou talk same time on Skype with DOP! when you are in remote mode you can't switch between timeline you need to turn off and turn on remote! best it's to have a assitant or teamviewer to connect and reconnect on remote computer. You have also but different story SDI to IP but you need fast connexion fibre internet. Check your Firewall setting for PORTS.
