Nicolas Hanson September 29, 2017 Share September 29, 2017 We are on Windows and wonder if Premiere can read DNxHD?
Bruno Mansi September 29, 2017 Share September 29, 2017 Assuming you have the Avid codec pack installed (which will have been done if you've installed Media Composer) then there should be no problem. I've had Premiere read both MXF OP1A and OP-Atom files without any issues. I believe the latest versions of Premiere might not even need the Avid Codec pack installed as these are Quicktime based, and many software manufacturers have been removing the dependence on QT, and providing native support for the codecs.
Margus Voll September 29, 2017 Share September 29, 2017 I have latest Premiere and dnxhd work out of the box imo. Dnxhr needs some pref tweaking i have read but i have not looked in to it much yet as i edit in Resolve now.
Nicolas Hanson October 2, 2017 Author Share October 2, 2017 (edited) Thank you guys! Not many softwares that actually read MXF OP1A and that can be nice when the files by mistake are transcoded to OP1A and not Atom as we often want.
