    hei guys

i have a question for all of you Resolve users: what type of storage do you use for Resolve running on a Mac Pro trashcan?

when i was using Lustre i had a 24 bay Rorke Aurora with a 8 Gbit fibre channel. i tried to move it on the Resolve system but the guys from Rorke said they don't have a workflow / support for the new systems on trashcans.

now i'm using a Synology NAS but i'm not satisfied with it mainly because of the speed. anything above 2k is not being played in real time.

    so, what are you using?

    thanks in advance.

    cheers

Great taste. The reel is good enough to be compared with the top post production house commercial reels.

    Thank you Nicolas, really appreciated.

  3. Hello everybody,

I have a new reel that I want to share with you. If you have few minutes to take a look and post your opinion about it here.

    Thanks,

  4. Thank you Andreas.

I've tried everything that you suggested and I have better idea now.

Still struggling with rendering options for timeline conformed from MOV and ARRI files since its seams I need to render quicktime to DPX in one way and ARRI to DPX in another way. Not elegant at all.

I really like everything about grading in Baselight but I need to say that conforming and rendering are "Before 2000".

  5. Hello,

Can someone explain how to setup rendering in Baselight 4.4 to match equivalent render settings from Resolve:

    - individual clips, DPX

    - source timecode and metadata

    - original resolution, no resizing

    - force de-bayering in high quality

    - everything in one folder

    - add 25 frames handles.

Also, if I have compositing like chroma key, what would be the best workflow to output plates, not composites?

    Thanks,

    Nikola
