Color grade a cut down episode, DaVinci Resolve

I have just finished coloring a drama episode and the editor delivered an AAF for a shorter version of the same episode that I have to adjust. I have no experience with these things and need to take care of the conform myself this time. How do I do this the fastest way?

Use ColorTrace.

Of course, this requires the original grade to be available, which should be the case in your example.

ColourTrace is accessible from the Edit page.

Import the AAF, relink media as necessary, right click on your timeline in bin and select Timelines/ColorTrace.

Yeah, color trace is nice. It's an automatic process and you can do manual adjustments.
