Emily Haine August 25, 2019 Share August 25, 2019 No, but might be for clients if you can find one without too much uniformity issues. Look at Eizo or FSI for cheaper monitor alternatives.

Look at Eizo or FSI for cheaper monitor alternatives. Isn't infinite contrast of OLED (compared to 700-1200:1 for ips) better than more uniform panel? I'm not saying it is, I just want to understand, why uniform ips with low contrast ratio is better than not so uniform OLED with infinite contrast. Emily Haine September 23, 2019 Share September 23, 2019 Uniformity issues means you see color splotches on the screen. Load a white solid to test the panel before you buy or mount it on the wall.
Craig Harris November 24, 2019 Share November 24, 2019 Alter Ego post in Toronto pairs their Baselight systems with calibrated LG OLED monitors. You can't use an LG consumer models for HDR mastering but they are a really great option for grading. 1
