Scope Box alternative for HDR

Recommended Posts

Can any of you recommend a software based scope for HDR monitoring?

I've been using scope box for the last 3 years, but now I need to deliver HDR content and it does't seem to work with and HDR signal.

Although I believe the best option would be this Aja box below, for now I'm looking for cheaper solutions which could be used with a Blackmagic card or anything similar.

You could check out Drastic 4KScope - I think they have HDR-modes as well and support BMD/AJA/Bluefish444 hardware.

With a Kona5 and decent GPU they can also do 8K.

Make sure you configured it correctly as to what its input metrics are.
Worst case, write to support - they are usually very responsive.

Hi Luca

Please make sure you are running a temporary license when testing 4kScope, and that it is in 2020 (or 2020 video mode).  I would be happy to work with you to make sure everything is setup properly.  Please feel free to email me at james (at) drastictech.com

Cheers, James

Some speculate Scope box update might come in near future.
IBC seems to be behind the corner or year end.
I'm exited about it a bit.
