I think this guide is spot on and stands out from the other guides out there because it actually dares to say that a professional line monitor comes with the higher price tag. Lowepost is one of the few reliable resources out there and I would be disappointed if they listed all the crap displays that can be found on some of the other industry blogs. We used the discontinued PVM-A250 for years, and recently bought the number two on this list - BVM- E251.

My first panel was the original Wave, followed by the Avid Artist panel and I'm also looking to upgrade @Tobia Montanari Lughi. I must say these images makes me want to order the Elements right away!

This is a masterpiece, and probably the best color grading article I have read. Great work Lowepost!

Great tutorial, I learned a lot from this. I haven't thought of using the channel mixer this way earlier. Clever method.

Hi Jim, thank you for this introduction to color timing. Is it possible to affect only lift, gamma, or gain with printer points?

Beautiful work Walter. The chemical scene with the extreme greens is a perfect example of how to use color to influence what we think and feel.

I have also noticed the pattern with post-apocalyptic movies being desaturated. Surprisingly, George Miller actually asked for a high-contrast monochrome version with music only to be included on the Blu-ray.

Great write-up! I made the switch last year and I have not looked back once because the color science is another level and helps me get better results without that much more effort. Also agree that the interface is a bit old school, but you'll get used to it.
