  1. Hello Lowepost! I am just wondering, will we have more insights post in the future that features more stories in the grading room? Really enjoy reading them, hopefully we will have more in the future! I am pretty sure it will be great to have Yvan Lucas to talk bout his process grading Barbie, Killers of the flower moon and so on. Looking forward!
  2. Alright, we got the answer from the FB group already. thank you!
  3. Hello Stig, or any Lowepost admin The case studies stories are used to be in the Insider tab, but its weird that now i cant find them anymore. The only way i can find them is through the link itself, or search them on google. May i know where do i click in the website to reach the case studies? Thank you!
  4. Thank you Jussi We will try that once we receive the final render files from the VFX team. Appreciate it!
  5. Yes you're correct. So when I take that footage back to Resolve, how should I perform a Linear to RedWideGammut transform?
  6. Hi everyone I have a question regarding to how to convert a linear space file correctly to my camera's footage, in my case its RedWideGamut, Log3g10. Here's my scenario: We shot a project on the Red Gemini, and we have to do some greenscreen key. Our VFX artist uses the standalone Fusion, and I exported EXR image sequences for him. As usual, I leave my project Color Management as default, but my CameraRaw is set to the IPP2 Color Science, RedWideGamut as my color space & Log3G10 for my Gamma Curve. Go ahead and export all these shots to EXR float. I just checked the VFXIO 3D LUT folder and realise there is no Linear to RedWideGamut,Log3G10 option. I tried using the Color Space Transform OFX, using these settings: Input Color Space, Use Timeline ; Input Gamma, Linear. Output Color Space, RedWideGamut; Output Gamma, Log3G10. The footage came out even flatter than the original footage. Is there any other way to convert the Linear footage into a RedWideGamut, Log3G10 correctly? Thanks!
  7. Reading this after going through the whole Professional Color Grading Techniques tutorial by Kevin P. McAuliffe just makes more sense now.
  8. Hi members I'm currently researching on monitors for color grading purposes, and I come across Konvision. While researching on it, what confuses me is there are some monitors stated with true 10bit Panel and 12bit Video Processing. However for some of them, they doesn't have 10bit true color, but it comes with 12bit Video Processing. So what does that mean? Does it mean even without 10bit Panel, it can still be able to output 10bit? I do know we need an Ultrastudio for outputting a full image on any monitors, TV and etc regardless whether it's 10bit or not. But my question is, will Ultrastudio help let's say a TV outputting a 10bit image? Hopefully the questions are not confusing. Thank you!
  9. Lovely! Hope to see more recordings of Tyler's grading sessions! Really inspiring and nice! What I observe here is, Tyler actually keyed the colors from the Log(the red color of the jacket, skintones and etc) but not after the Balanced/Rec709/LUT. Interesting!

  11. I went to LA all the way from Malaysia, attended the class, not quite what I expected. But I did get some nice knowledge out from the workshop, and plus, a nice plugin.
