I do grading on a freelance basis to photographer/directors, but I’d love to be in with the big boys. When I look at advertised opportunities, they are always for highly experienced 5 year+ Colorists. I keep wondering how those people got in at the beginning - is it through personal recommendation, or internships, or colleges? Can anyone give me some advice on how to get that very first position?
