Select the new FX clip in the media pool on the Edit page, then right click the clip you want to replace on the timeline and select "conform lock with media pool clip". This will keep any work you've done (speed ramps, keyframes etc) and just replace the media. If you're working in ACES and the FX clip is an EXR, the grade and anything else will remain intact with the new clip.

Failed to encode video frame
in DaVinci Resolve
Had that issue yesterday while rendering a DCP. I rendered it successfully without changing anything on the timeline or destination. Seems like a random thing.
