Thanks for the insight Walter. As most of my stuff goes to the web, I realise I need to add LOTS more grain to be able to even see it. -

Hi Walter, Amazing insight! When using the build-in grain, do you put it on the 'OFX' place or before / after the LUT or look on the timeline level? -

Masterclass in Color Grading with Derek Hansen

Can Someone elaborate how Dereks approach under 'deep saturation' applies in Davinci Resolve? Is this a luma vs saturation curve, brought down as a whole? And does this come after the (luma) curve? I don't understand the theory behind this, what is the difference of bringing down 2 stops with the luma vs sat, in stead of a general exposure / offset adjustment? -
If you'd been willing to spend a bit more, go for an LG OLED, which imo is massive upgrade to the monitors mentioned.

Hi folks, Without the budget for a professional Flanders or Sony reference, I've been looking into a calibrated OLED. As of now, I have my eyes on the LG CX series. I'm interested in the 48", but strangely enough, the 55" is quite a bit cheaper. Does anyone have experience with working with a 55"? How far away should I sit to be at least somewhat comfortable?
