What does it take to become a colorist?

He is very right about "contacting a colorist or post-house who admires and shows his interest in his company and the trade" but never never pay attention and much less help, nobody is interested in mentoring if he has no economic benefit , for support is a lie. I am in Argentina and nobody reaches out, they are arrogant, it is sad that they do not expand opportunities as if you take away their work.
