  1. When you say soft roll off highlights is that by using the custom curve and using the special spline in davinci?
  2. UPDATE: I got two of them to work Frequency and Hue however they ones I am dying to try are still being elusive Filmgrade and Softclip. My guess is Paul hasn’t done one compatible for metal yet.
  3. I have unzipped them but I will try again thanks everyond
  4. This sucks I am wondering why I am having issues. It seems so simple
  5. I have tried them all individually. I don’t know what’s going on I wonder if it’s my operating system Mojave
  6. Ok so I found the folders and dropped the plug ins but their not showing up on davinci ofx. Wonder what I am doing wrong
  7. Hello group: So I am trying to install PAUL DORE "THE BALD AVENGER" OFX plugs for davinci resolve. Unfortunately I am having the problem of not being able to locate the OFX folder on my computer in order to drop the plug inns into. My graphic card is Radeon Pro 580 8 GB if that has anything to do with it. What am i doing wrong?
  8. Hello Group: So I ve been obsessing over getting a look that I like in Davinci. I ve seen some commercials from mexico city and the color grade has looked really nice. I understand production design and lighting play a big part. My only problem is I shot some footage that I think was well lit for a test and to my eye it screams digital. Based on a still are you able to gather what i could be doing different in the grade? I understand i should have seperated my talent from the background but the set was really small and i had no other options. The second one is the one that has inspired me, besides the obvious lighting, production design what do you think they did to get that look in post? My shot was on an arri alexa the second clip was an alexa mini.
  9. Phrased it wrong meant to say Mexico, and europe
  10. Hello Members: I am a novice when it comes to color grading so I apologize if my inquiry seems dumb, but I am obssesed with finding this out. I noticed that a lot of commercials and music videos from Spain, Mexico city and some european countries have this similar type of look which I describe as the "euro" look. It has a very organic film like look to it. I have spoken to a few DPS and colorists from some of those videos which I admire and they downplay their work a little. For a while I believed they used special filtration on the lenses but one of my favorite videos the DP told me they shot it clean. Besides the obvious answers that it is lighting, production design what is that element that i am missing. Thanks in advance O.R
  11. Hello group: Sometimes I come across some shots that are just so amazing I would love to figure out the methods that were used in coming up with the grade. A buddy of mine told me he believes there are methods in Davinci using scopes to reverse engineer the method used for grading a particular shot. Is my friend correct or is he just beeing foolish?
