Professional Color Grading Techniques in DaVinci Resolve

I have the exact same question about the Film LUTs. Kevin is applying the Film Look LUT directly on the Arri LogC3 node without a transform color space prior to the LUT. Wouldn't that end up in a wrong result/look bad? Please help clarify this.
