  6. Hey guys and gals, New to this forum, quick background of myself. Did Audio since 2006 and two years ago gave up audio to do video. Now i am 2 years into video and do everything for my company. I still am having a lot fo trouble learning color correcting and color grading. Im not sure if its my camera, my eyes lol or just not sure what Im doing wrong. I know Ive been filming in AUTO ISO but lately I actuall manually ISO my enviorement. ANy how long does it take to be a good colorist. I am based out of Los angeles if anyone knows anyone who can help !!!
  7. Just looked intro to BL for Avid on FilmLight page and got intrigued a bit. What i mean is usually i get edit from avid and the thing that was mentioned in the end "see grade while editing" is the case some times it would make sense to Harness. My goal would be to learn that workflow and practice some BL on top seems like good idea to me. Am i missing something here or is there just conform bit that is different? Another part would be to allow to do something that would be usable in the end one way or the other that seems to me not possible with student ? (i also always run out of student time frame when i can do something meaningful)

  11. Hi. I had interesting and different music video grade in the end of last year. Look wise and story wise it was interesting for me as it is dystopian weird dream. The story said we should get dusty desert feel and soft looks to it. Different from the things that we usually are asked for most of the times. All was shot on Arri Mini with rehoused Lomo set. Graded in DaVinci Resolve Studio in ACEScc colorspace. YT does make wonder to images like always but i can not share it on my profile. Maybe i could give some still frames to look at.   14. Great news! Time to be proud again. About year ago or bit more i worked as a colourist on film House of Others, director Russudan Glurjidze and cinematographer Gorka Gómez Andreu. After ASC event we got information that Gorka Gómez Andreu has been awarded Spotlight Award, award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography by the American Society of Cinematographers. It was very interesting project to work with and i’m really happy that the film got this kind of award. Love the exceptional work Gorka did on the set and the dynamics we had with Russudan in grading. Always happy to work with professionals. All shot on Red Epic and graded in Davinci Resolve Studio

  17. We are a equipment rental and post production services company based in Manhattan looking for a resident colorist who would like a room to develop and grow his/her color correction business. The ideal colorist has the ability to bring clients to the facility for projects and also work on some internal corporate client work. We have a DaVinci Resolve system with full panels, 2 EIZO monitors and a SONY BVM 250 as well as a LG OLED 4K TV for screening. Happy to offer a tour of the facility to anyone who could use the equipment and facility.
