  1. Hi all, here is a tutorial about how to use the texture menu to do object removal and sky replacement!
  2. Hi all, here is a new tutorial about audio-syncing in SCRATCH. Basically, there are 3 ways to do so: - manual sync - semi-automated sync - manual syncing with Sync-Markers - TC-based sync Also scene and take information can be added to the clips through the audio-files, and global offset (in frames and milliseconds) can be added to any number of clips. Have a look: On a related matter, we covered LTC-based audio syncing here in this tutorial: Cheers, Mazze
  3. Hi all, this time we're focussing on the media browser in SCRATCH. It kind of is the heart and database of everything in the software. Whenever you need to do a change to multiple clips, you should do it in the media browser, as explained in this tutorial:
  4. Hi all, when exporting from SCRATCH you will find yourself in a node-based environment. Beginning with the main output node, moving forward (to the right, physically), you can add multiple other output-nodes for different formats, framerates, dimensions, etc. . This tutorial shows how to setup an output-tree and save templates to speed up any follow up operations:
  5. Hi all, this tutorial focusses on how to animate a still image. In SCRATCH, all clips are managed in slots - and each slot can have a length, independent from the length of the clip inside. To animate a still (which basically is a one-frame-clip), you need to understand the difference between clip and slot length. No worries, it's an easy one ;-) .
  6. Hi all, here's an older tutorial explaining what the repository is (online storage of your projects to work on and sync to with multiple artists at multiple places) and how to use it. Cheers, Mazze
  7. Hi all, here is a tutorial about the Gallery in SCRATCH and how to manage and compare your grades.
  8. Hi all, here's a tutorial explaining remote grading with SCRATCH. Main things to point out are, that you don't need the media you're grading on on both sides, also you can add as many workstations/artists as you want, joining the creative session. Have a look:
  9. Hi all, since there are many places in SCRATCH to load (and save) a lookup table, here's a quick guide showing all the possibilities when working with LUTs:
  10. Hi all, here's an older tutorial showing a way to do a 3 stripe CMY grading:
  11. Hi guys, here's a quick 5-min tutorial focussing on how to handle anamorphic footage inside SCRATCH:
  12. Hi all, a more basic tutorial on a common technique to balance a shot:
  13. Lowepost have teamed up with Assimilate Inc to offer our premium members a special 20% discount on annual SCRATCH and SCRATCH VR Suite. That's a great deal, isn't it? Support the community by becoming a premium member and help us continue to make great deals and create good content.
  14. Hi folks, since Pomfort and I basically live next door to each other here in Munich, we sat down together a couple weeks back and have developed a nice workflow to transfer looks from LiveGrade to Silverstack and from there to SCRATCH: http://pomfort.com/news/2016/08/livegrade-pro-silverstack-assimilate-scratch-one-seamless-workflow/ For everybody working on-set with either LiveGrade or Silverstack (or both), this might be pretty interesting - enjoy: Cheers, Mazze
  15. Hi all, this tutorial is focussing on the integrated shape tracker: Cheers, Mazze
  16. Hi all, here's a tutorial about roundtripping from and to Avid Mediacomposer: Cheers, Mazze
  17. For the ones interested in DCP-creation, here's a tutorial about how to do color space conversion and JPEG2000 encoding inside SCRATCH: Cheers, Mazze
  18. Hi all, here's a quick tutorial focussing on color management in SCRATCH. However, below I've posted the two in-depth tutorials about color management! Enjoy, Mazze *EDIT* Added the first part of colormanagement again... now updated for v9.
  19. Hi all, we're planning to post new tutorial videos about SCRATCH here, as they are being released - starting with the "Getting started" tutorial for new users. More videos will follow (new ones as well as existing ones) - stay tuned!
  20. Another tutorial, that might be helpful especially for Resolve users. Differences and similarities between the two are outlined, making it easier to adopt. Cheers, Mazze
  21. Hi all, there's a new tutorial out, that shows the usage of SCRATCH Web and how to publish from either the full SCRATCH software, or the free SCRATCH Play. A trial channel on SCRATCH Web is 2 GB and free of charge, if you wanna try it :-) . Cheers, Mazze
  22. Hi all, for those, who do not have the time to invest 30 mins to watch our getting started tutorial, here is a quick and dirty version that'll get you going within 5 minutes :-) . Cheers, Mazze
