That would probably be the “deliberately excluded those from the list.”
I read that to be the small 17 inch and 8 bit monitors.

Is the Eizo CG318X also a good option?
Discontinued. CG319X is your option if you go Eizo.

I am puzzled why one would transcode to high res codecs for finishing as opposed to working with the original file format when finishing. For real time work wouldn't you be working with low bandwidth codecs in both cases? Why inject the extra step?
Because not all camera formats are optimized for real-time playback and enormous file sizes can slow things down.

With classic saturation tools, primary colors such as red quickly become overweighted in the frame as you increase saturation. With Base Grade, the strength of the effect is more evenly distributed over the color circle.
Great observation! When increasing the exposure with the ofset controls (+R +G +B), the algorithm favors the red chanel in terms of total density compared to green and blue. "Red has a total density value of 37% of 1/12th of a stop or 3% of a full stop" as explained in Dan's article. Do you know if the relationship between R, G, B is unevenly distributed in terms of saturation as well? Or is red only overweighted compared to other colors than blue and green?

I love this sensual and beautiful spot, and the colors are stunning. What a masterpiece delivered by mr. Van Der Cruyssen.
